snowguy

Do you remember this guy?
I made him last winter.
This is one of the things I am working
on. Sewing, making jewelry,
squirrels, garland, dolls, trees.I am
so busy but, the holidays are here, and
those of us who, craft...need to
be in hypercraft mode right now.
By the time December gets here,
I am ready for the break.

to much baggage

I carry a lot of baggage.
No matter how old we
get...wisdom comes through
trial and error. Mostly error.
And no matter how hard we try...
we cannot escape our family.
I find I am getting a little more
eccentric...like my great aunts...
I fight it...but as much as I try to
get rid of my baggage...my stuff...
it seems to multiply.
My studio was so messy friday...you
couldn't see a counter or the floor.
It took me 8 hours to clean.
I almost cried at one point...looking
at all the stuff...I can't get rid of.
WHY?
That is the billion dollar question.

This picture is also from

weather blues

It has been raining so hard....
and it is so dark and windy.
I thought this picture shows
my life right now.
...Wet...
...claustrophobic...
and needing to find some light at the
end of the tunnel.
A little sunshine would go
along way right now.
It is that in-between.
Fall is gearing
up for winter. Bring on the
snow, at least that sheds some light.

I was reading one of my favorite blogs
and she had found this blog
it is french and amazingly wonderful!

making holidays fun

This is what I have been working on
snowmen.
This is for Hutch.

I am organizing my personal christmas stuff.
Most of this is going to Finders Keepers in
Marysville. A few vintage things to Hutch.
I have stuff here I made 25 years ago. But,
it's not anything I want to keep....I just never
wanted to deal with it. Remember...crossstitch?
Country angels? ooooh,not good.

i love umbrellas

This is a great Japanese paper umbrella from
the 40's. It is in HUTCH.
Looking for more.

Something like this.

I love them...old, beat up
torn...
HUTCH
is open.
Whew.
We had an amazing turnout friday night.
It is such a relief to have made it
this far. We are very happy people
found us and support our endeavor.
But...
We will take HUTCH to those who
cannot come to Laconner WA.
Next step is to get our little store on line.
We will bring our wonderful handmade
goodies to you. To shop from your home.
So...
lookout...
we are on our way...
