Sam Weekend

We had an overnighter with Sam.
He was so much fun, entertaining and makes me
laugh.
Did I ever mention my dude is a photographer?
Well, he was shooting a job in our studio, so
we popped in for a couple of shots.

He sent me this....as a gift today.  The gift is...
he photoshopped out some wrinkles.  I thought
I looked pretty good, but hadn't figured it out.  Oh well,
I don't mind the wrinkles...now gray hair, that's
a different story.
Sam on the other hand...is adorable with his overalls
and that is a GRRRRRRR...dinosaur in his hand.

Such a happy guy...21 months.
He knows his colors, can count to 15 and
knows how to upturn a laundry basket to
grab a 3rd cookie off the counter.
And the best part....calls me grammie.

I'll say it for the 100th time....Grandkiddo's
are the best.

Granparents on duty

Last weekend was a Sam weekend.
We picked him up friday and took
him back to his mama on sunday.
I have no good pictures, because
when he wasn't moving, he was
cuddled in my arms watching
SHREK!  (6 times)
We go for rides around the living room.

Climbing between the forest of bar stools.

Up and down the entry.

Climbing, favorite activity.

We had a few melt downs.  All very typical of a 20 month old.
It was an awesome weekend.
And when we dropped him off,
I was torn, happy to take him back to his parents,
but missing him already.

Grandparents

Can't wait for number 2.
Will be here in August.

Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to the
Pumpkin Patch today.

Got a little lost in the corn maize.
Of which we had to break the rules
and forge our own trail to get out.

Sam headed for the puddles of mud,
liked to go in the direction....we were not.
And had a snack of kettle corn.
Good day!

Happy just to run around.

 I love my cousin.

Sam visit

We had a Sam weekend.

Updates
He can say...mama,dada, meow, all gone, uh-oh,
more, up,
 roar like a dinosaur,
 give hugs, (which
doesn't include arms)
shake his head yes and no.
He likes to organize the pantry,
 sweep, empty drawers,
take his new boots off and on, a lot!
 Put hats on, and off
 Climb anything,
but new favorite is in and out of the high chair,
and play with the clasp...which he needs help with...we did
that at least a 100 times.
Still loves to chill and cuddle...
when he isn't running.
Loves to sweep and mop.
A walk to the park...we saw lots of ducks.

Likes to put on his own hats.  This one he prefers over
his eyes...and walks around bumping into stuff.

Max got lots of hugs.  Grampa 0.

Sam...let's swim

We had a Sam weekend,
It was beautiful, so we
swam in the pool.  Played
outside, went for a walk to
the park in his wagon.

He is changing so much.
He can do Animal Sounds
Roar, Meow...And mama,
Dada, Byeee, and a whole lot
of uhuhuhuhuhuhuh.
.
And when you try and take the
plug out, he bites it with his
teeth so you can't take it away.
He is way past walking...He is running!

Toddler recall for Grammys.

Do you have favorite blogs that you keep
in your reader?  I have lots of blogs in there,
but a few I look at almost daily.  I like them
because they often lead you to another blog, that
they like...which I usually like also.
One of my favorites is
A Cup of Jo.
She can really dig up some very
cool stuff.
A recent find was a link to this site.

Grammys who have overnighters with
a toddler can relate also.

Here is an post from JUNE 2010.

WHY HAVING A TODDLER IS LIKE
BEING AT A FRAT PARTY.

1. You wake up wondering exactly how and when the person in
bed with you got there.

2. There are crumpled-up underpants EVERYWHERE.

3. Your not sure whether anything you're doing is right, you just
hope you don't get arrested.

4. There's definitely going to be a fight.

5. You've got someone in your face at 3 a.m.
looking for a drink.

6.  Probably 80% of the stains on the furniture contain DNA.

7.  You sneak off to the bathroom knowing that as soon as you
sit down, someone's going to start banging on the door.

8.  It's best not to assume that the person closest to you has
any control over their digestive function.

9. There's alway that one girl, bawling her eyes out in a corner.

10.  There are half-full, brightly-colored plastic cups on the floor
in every room.  Three are in the bathtub.

Birthday day for me.

Yesterday was my Birthday.
I am really not into birthdays.
I don't like to make a big deal about it.
It has always just felt like another day.
But I do like to spend that day with the
people I love the most. All 3 of my kids
had to work that day.  One in Alaska,
One in California and one that made it
later that night.  But my guy, my
daughter-in-law and grandson
gave me the best birthday day ever.
Sam just happened to be sprouting 2 new
molars so he was not up to par.
TEETHING, OUCH.
He tried his very best.
We went to the park, and just
kinda wandered around the house.
I tried to get his picture.
Here are the results.

1.  Hard time capturing him...even though he
wasn't moving very fast...He moved fast enough
to get out of camera range.
2.  He wouldn't look at me!
3. He hurt, so he cried.  This is just
one of those moments he did not have
his pacifier or blanket with him.
4. He was so sleepy and had a fever.
But wouldn't sleep.

5. Ouch, my mouth hurts!
6. Grandpa couldn't get him
to excited about a push in his wagon.

But, every second with this little dumpling is pure
joy....Best Birthday day ever.

4 days with Sam

Well my 4 days with Sam are over.
It was so much fun.  Nothing like
watching a one year old loving  life.

Here he is watching an airplane.  When he hears jet noises , he stops and looks up.

Here he was pissy, not all that happy for some reason.  Climbing stairs though, nothing
stops him from moving...even a bad mood.

And he knows how to go down stairs. " STOP...turn around." He has heard that
a hundred times.
 Still pissy.....but so stinking cute!
He is just a little cuddle bug.  Loves to be held and snuggle.
Play...run....climb, repeat, repeat, repeat.
Eating....ahhhh not so much.  There is to much to do.
He actually likes walking around with food.  Especially
O's.   But to feed him....not so interested unless it's cheese.

Take me back to simpler times

Tomorrow Sam is coming
to stay with us for 4 days.
So excited!!!
We have new toys.
***Wood Blocks***
***Wood Puzzel***
and... yep
***Wooden Train***

I like old fashion toys.

We gave him this
Radio Flyer for
his birthday.

He looks like an old fashion boy
right out of the 50's.

7/6/11

We designed a new backpack for our
Spring line.  I gave one of the prototypes
to Sam.  My little test marketing grandson.
Mama put it on him...so proud.
Such a big boy.
But...
he wanted to see it.  So he turned around
and around like a puppy chasing his tail and
the patience came to an end.  Frustration looks like this...
Look how PISSED!
So when Mom finally showed it to him,
he came up with the way he will wear it.
She said he laughed and ran around and loved it.
A fashion setter!

5/19/11

guess who's one.

My little pumpkin is
ONE!
Granny is showing him one of 4 vehicles he got...insane!
He likes sugar. But ended up playing with the
plastic plate the cake came on.
Red is his color!

new tricks,
Walking...close to running
discovered lungs....yelling just for fun
shutting doors, cupboards, drawers
pushing buttons...especially phone.
Takes away his cousins apple juice
throws and kicks balls.
GENIUS

Sam is an Elf

Well here at bunnies we are just finishing
up our Fall Line.  Designs are done.
Catalog is ready to go to the printer
and Sam gets his chance at the limelight...
You can call me SAM...
or the
"CUTEST BABY IN THE WHOLE WORLD."
According to my mama, papa, grannies,
grandpas, aunties and uncles!
Oh. and those strangers in the grocery store
who like to pinch my chubby cheeks!

3/19/11

So Smart

And look
what Sam can do
at only 10 months old.
Mom put a load of laundry
in the dryer...2 minutes maybe
and he unrolled the TP
and learning to flush the pot!
That's my grandson.

He cannot forsee the drama of
having to use the darn think
 in a few months

3/10/11

Photo shoot

Have you ever tried to

Sam
