Farm chicks fun

Well it is over.
Farm chicks 2010.
It was my first, it was amazing
wonderful, exhilarating, exhausting
I took Hutch Studio to the public,
and the public gave their thumbs up.

There was young and hip,
older and wiser.   Cool, funky
farmy, and each and every person
I met was charming and supportive.
Sunday, a lady said, " I was
told to come to the cardboard booth
and check it out."  I have a reputation.
I met so many new
wonderful farm chick sisters.
I loved every moment of it.

Serena is sweet and kind, humble
and appreciative...
Therefore...I think she attracts
people who are kind and generous.
Today they told us 4700 people came
the first day.  I believe it.  My little space
was full all day.   They liked the cardboard,
my art, hutch studio.  Many women told
me, they just liked being in the space.
I never once heard any negative comment.
Ladies and even the guys were just so
happy to be there.

Here are pictures of the booth.
I did not get to leave, because I was a
lone soldier,  other than Saint Anne
who helped me set up and brought me
lunch the first day.  Ladies  it isn't about
the money....it is about being allowed to
live a life that is pure joy...to do what you
love....have it appreciated and the energy
to get up and get to it!

I can't wait for next year.

Art for Farm chicks

Here is some examples of
what I am taking to
farm chicks.
These are unfinished
they still need text and framed.

Baby Sam is doing great.
He is eating, sleeping, pooping.
All good and adorable!

I have posted about how
much I love my roku that
alows me to watch netflix on
my tv.

My current favorite
is the show Glee.
I love Jane Lynch.  She is the funniest actress
ever!  I am working my way thru the first season
have 4th dvd coming monday from netflix!
A great blog.

I love the colors and the tiny-ness
of this trailer.  Still dreaming of my
small space.  Working on getting rid of
more possessions and traveling lighter.

A portrait of Max.
She is 12...getting
up there in years
And spring just keeps
getting lovelier.
Pictures from my
iphone on a walk thru
our neighborhood.

Sam Fisher is adapting
He is incredible.
Mom and Dad are busy.
And Dad is in love.
He is the official diaper changer
rocker, hugger, kisser.
Mom has her hands full with just
feeding him, dad is there comforting
them both.  I am so proud of a son
who is such a gentle loving daddy.

5/17/10

Well...here he is.

Sam Fisher Kirkpatrick

Born, May 15th
7 lbs. 1 oz. 19"
The year of the tiger.
A Taurus.
A wondrous amazing and alert little soul
He  makes your heart melt.
Mama and grandma and aunties
are in awe and in love.

His daddy has not had
that moment yet...I think
he is still in shock.  But he
will have it...when he least
expects it.  When Sam recognizes
him, smiles and locks into daddys heart.
...there will be the
love intertwined and eternal.

Imagine Music Video- Glee Cast Version + Deaf students

I have talked about how much I love my Roku,
that allows me to watch Netflix on my TV.
My new favorite is the show Glee.
I am so in love with this show.
Here is from one episode.
This will make you cry.

5/13/10

I am busy working on the
farm chicks show.  Try to
post some pictures of things
I will be bringing...for now
here is a hint.

5/8/10

We are building our booth
for the farm chicks show.
I have Julie helping me.
I did all this research on cardboard
furniture.  I want to build a cardboard
booth.  I need a booth that is light weight
and easily set up.  Here are some examples
of what you can do....

Friday evening we were enjoying some beautiful
northwest weather.  This giant, fluffy cloud
was just sitting in a blue evening sky.  It was
beautiful.  Oh thank-you for a sunny weekend!

We went to the nursery last weekend.
Found these hanging baskets of
alyssum.
But,
we put ours in pot,
right outside the bedroom.

We just happen to have a button
cover machine at work.
I have been racking my brain
to come up with ideas for covered
buttons.  Here is one.
I painted on cotton and made
these ponytail holders.
8.00 at Hutch and etsy.
I am awake before the birds.
Well I am still getting up at 3:00 a.m.
I love those early morning hours.
Time just goes by so fast.
I am making stuff---I am making big messes.
These are hand painted cards with a necklace.
24.00 ea.
I love this.  Always looking for better
packaging.  I want to make it an easy gift.
Done, you don't have to do a thing, but
give to a special friend, or to you
because we all deserve a little treat
now and then.
These are very sweet....I love making them.

I am getting smaller
These paintings are either 1.5 x1.5 inches
or 2 x 2 inches.
I drew the illustrations to make
jewelry, but I just am not in the
mood to solder.  So I made
little pictures.  All original art.
I made about 10 of them.
For sale at Hutch
12.00 ea.
I put a couple on etsy.
Call Chris for more details.

This is just to much fun.

Here is another little watercolor.

One more post on the baby shower.

The shower was organized by Brens
sister and best friend.  I just provided the
home.  But, I wanted to show Bren how
much we as her friends and family loved
her and her son...beyond the gifts there is more.
We all held onto a balloon and wished to her our love
and support.  On the count of 3, we
let go of our balloon, as they traveled
up into the heavens our love went
with them.  Our collective hearts
joined as one for the well being
for Bren and baby.

For Brenda's baby shower
we kept the decor simple and
sophisticated.  White balloon,
white flowers.  I found 36" balloon
that were cooler than cool.  We fit
5 in the 63 bus.  The clerk at the
balloon shop helped me carry them
out.  When she saw the van she did
a little jump and a squeal and said,
"it's real".  When we drive around, seeing this bus
just makes people happy.  We get thumbs up, peace
signs, and lots of smiles.  The windows in front
are called safari windows and they pop out.  It is
like being in a convertible.
I have been oh so absent.
I have not been inspired to
post.  I got caught up in having
a baby shower for my
beautiful daughter-in-law.
I have been busy finishing the
fall line for bunnies and I have
been busy painting.
So...sorry.
I also got our etsy site set
up for Hutch Studio.
Here are a few of the items.
These are all 5 by 7 and 16.00 dollars.
I am so happy to paint and I feel
like I am still in the learning mode.
So these are inexpensive.  But I like
them.  Fun and simple.  Check out
our etsy site.  Hutch studio.

4/11/10

This is one of our very
best sellers at bunnies.
His name is Ittybit.
If you look on Amazon
he gets rave reviews.
Do you think this could be a long lost relative?

I have set up an Etsy store.
I only have a few items in there.
It is our Hutch site.
The etsy store is not perfect.
A few tweeks I need help with.
My goal is to take pictures of
my little ditties and get them up
next week.  So keep checking
back...it can only get...oh so much better!

It's Easter

Well,
It is Easter weekend.
It snuck up on me.
I thought It was next weekend.
That is what happens when you
don't look at a calender
watch t.v. or read the news.
Happy Easter...
