Pablo Picasso at the SAM
We have talked about going to see
the Picasso exhibit at the SAM
for a couple of months. We tried once
and it was closed. We tried yesterday
it was sold out...so I stood in line for
an hour with about 200 other crazy people
and finally got in today.
The line was longer behind me...
and this was for nonmembers.
There was another line on the other side for members.
(Interesting display of vehicles. )
It was overwhelming.
The impression that I walked away with
..........
Whatever floats your boat,
it's good just to see people appreciate
art in general. As Joseph Cambell
has expressed, without art we would not
be man...it has been apart of who we
are from the beginning. To communicate
in another form...other than words.
It was good to see so many...
from the hundreds of school children,
young adults and those of us not so young.
Out supporting art.

Reminder...Bye bye beach house
....Just a little reminder...
My beach house needs
new love.
Do you have love
for a cute little bungalow
in the San Juan Islands?
Going on the market
in February.
This is my front yard...
I have wooden steps to
the beach...covered in driftwood.
There's lots of clams and crab out there.
Welcome.
Burrrrrrr.
...Baby it's cold outside...
Driving my usual
Kirkland to Anacortes
monday drive,
I didn't see snow
until Laconner.
This was so pretty

It's TIME
IT IS TIME
A year ago I rented out my house.
A year for me to decide what I wanted to do.
I have discovered...that it feels good, not to
have to take care of another house.
I live in Kirkland part of the week. That is
more housework than I already want to do.
.......SO......
I am going to put my
beach house
on the market.
If you know of anyone who would like to
live in the Beautiful San Juan Islands
in Washington state.
send them my way.

cool stuff in the rain and cold
I had an appointment in
Freeland yesterday.
That is on the southern tip
of Whidbey Island.
On my way back I stopped in at a
very cute fabric shop.
very cute fabric shop.

She had a great selection for such a
tiny shop.
tiny shop.
Mostly Moda...
which I love.
which I love.
Anyway in the parking lot
on the side of an auto body shop
were these.
Driftwood arbors. I love them.
All the old twigs from last season
twisted and tangled in the
wood.
wood.
And the fact that they are attatched to the side
of a chippy old white building was a bonus!
Coupeville was quaint and charming.
Even on a rainy and cold winter day...
you can find the beauty that is there
if you care to look.

bunnies are taking over
We have a new bunny store.
Well...a bunny store...in a store.
Jeanne our fearless and sleepless
leader...set it up with a little help
from some energizer bunnies.
In Hang Zhou China.
We are very popular there.
Add on to that...it is
the year of the RABBIT.
It is our 25th anniversary,
OOOOHHHH HAAAAA
BUNNY LUCK.
Our little Sam
and Marley are
international
superstars!
