Looking for inspiration

I have spent the last two weeks,

(in between bunny business)

organizing my studio.

Sometimes you just need

to dig through all those

boxes and bins and pull

out your treasures....

display them and wait for

the spark to appear.

The fuel I need to
spur some creativity.

I am getting ready for the

Country Living Show

In Atlanta 

October 21-23

So here is my studio...

I moved my clothesline

and hung doll clothes.

 I found hoops everywhere...

now all together.

 These paper umbrellas are stuck in a 

piece of floral foam.

 Cute wooden boat off of Etsy,

with my instrument playing ants.

Here is a bunny and some pom, poms in the works for the show.

Now...I need to get busy!

Roche Harbor on San Juan Island

We had a final adventure

at the end of Summer.

A weekend boat trip to Roche Harbor

on beautiful San Juan Island.

It was amazing.

I can't remember the last time

I did nothing but just stare at water...

have food served to me,  hiked

and just enjoyed being in the moment.

Right here in my own backyard.

End of summer

It is the end of summer.

I have been so busy, and

not motivated to blog.

I hear this voice in my head that 

says...I have nothing to say.

I have spent the last 2 weeks

organizing my studio.  Trying

to get a sense of organization,

DE CLUTTERING.

Because my life has gotten

more complicated.

I have been dealing with work issues.

Getting ready for the country living shows.

Moving my daughter into my beach house.

And planning a party for my other daughter

moving to Anchorage.  My son just got

home from 4 months in Alaska fishing.

Wanting to watch Sam

Hanging out with my guy.

Not to mention,

CHORES.

The list goes on and on....

Family

Work

spirituality

health

...............

BALANCE

How do we fit it all in?

Do you know?

I sure don't.

This picture epitomizes summer.

I can't believe it's over, I don't think

it actually ever came.  Not enough of it

anyway.  I am not ready for fall,

for the year to be over.

Time is moving way to fast for me.

Sam...let's swim

We had a Sam weekend,

It was beautiful, so we 

swam in the pool.  Played

outside, went for a walk to

the park in his wagon.

He is changing so much.

He can do Animal Sounds

Roar, Meow...And mama,

Dada, Byeee, and a whole lot

of uhuhuhuhuhuhuh.

.

And when you try and take the

plug out, he bites it with his

teeth so you can't take it away.

He is way past walking...He is running!

Takin it to the street

My dude and I recently took a little 

road trip.  Down Hwy 101
Westport WA, to Cannon Beach Oregon...
Then to Portland.

We took the 63 VW....Safari windows open and
chillin on the highway.  It was a blast.
I also wanted to experiment with a VW pop-up store.
Of course I am a pansy ass, law abiding wimp.
So I am nervous...I will get in trouble, I don't have
a permit..I'm going to get a ticket and on and on.

Well
We pull into Cannon Beach..The sun is shining,
people everywhere.  We find an open spot
right in front of an ice cream shop on the main
drag.  I set up...  no one really notices...I'm nervous,
sweating.   Finally a couple walks up, they buy 2
cards and 4 buttons.   Then...I am outta here.
I did it, I made a sale....Let Vamoose.

The Dude sings

Sunday night a few of

us Bunny Girls

 went to

Chateau St. Michele Winery

for a concert.

We saw this ever chill

and unpretentious hunk of a dude.

He was great.

Definitely buying the music.

He is now a grandpa... he prefers

"Dude-pa".

His best quote of the night.

"Lot of wonder goin on".

The other day I was at my sisters amazing home.

I snapped a few pictures of her vintage dog collection.

your still on solid ground.  And when you

look up, you will see love in all those people

who are there to help.  Grief brings down

barriers between people.  It lets you see

that we are all one.  We are connected...

hope you don't get arrested.

4. There's definitely going to be a fight.

5. You've got someone in your face at 3 a.m.

looking for a drink.

6.  Probably 80% of the stains on the furniture contain DNA.

7.  You sneak off to the bathroom knowing that as soon as you 

sit down, someone's going to start banging on the door.

8.  It's best not to assume that the person closest to you has

any control over their digestive function.

9. There's alway that one girl, bawling her eyes out in a corner.

10.  There are half-full, brightly-colored plastic cups on the floor

 in every room.  Three are in the bathtub.

It is a site where you can catalog all the great things

that you discover on the web.  But, also view all

the amazing finds of other like minded people.

It is 100 times better than doing a google search in

images, as far as quality goes.

Country Living here I come

I am getting ready to do this show again.

The  COUNTRY LIVING SHOW

in Atlanta Georgia

October 21, 22, 23,

Can't wait to see all my buddies.

 I need to rethink how I will do the show this year.

Cardboard does not like wind, humidity and moisture.

So back to the drawing board for display ideas.

It is such a great venue.

Stone Mountain GA.

Can't wait.

If you go to my previous posts.  OCTOBER of 2010 you can see how much

fun I had last year.

Birthday day for me.

Yesterday was my Birthday.

I am really not into birthdays.

I don't like to make a big deal about it.

It has always just felt like another day.

But I do like to spend that day with the

people I love the most. All 3 of my kids

had to work that day.  One in Alaska,

One in California and one that made it 

later that night.  But my guy, my

daughter-in-law and grandson 

gave me the best birthday day ever.

Sam just happened to be sprouting 2 new 

molars so he was not up to par.

TEETHING, OUCH.

He tried his very best.

We went to the park, and just 

kinda wandered around the house.

I tried to get his picture.

Here are the results.

1.  Hard time capturing him...even though he

wasn't moving very fast...He moved fast enough

to get out of camera range.

2.  He wouldn't look at me!

3. He hurt, so he cried.  This is just 

one of those moments he did not have

his pacifier or blanket with him.

4. He was so sleepy and had a fever.

But wouldn't sleep.

5. Ouch, my mouth hurts!

6. Grandpa couldn't get him 

to excited about a push in his wagon.

But, every second with this little dumpling is pure

joy....Best Birthday day ever.
