Hello..... I'm Krys.
I discovered blogs about two years ago. I found them fascinating.  I am a designer and am always looking for inspiration.

I never ever thought I would be able to build my own blog. I kept waiting for someone to do it for me. I got tired of waiting, so here I am. I am challenged with anything that requires left brain activity.  But.... if there is a will there is a way.  I got a MACBOOK and I am learning how to use it and a digital camera.  It's funny, ever since I turned 50, I have been less afraid to try new things.  I guess you just get to the point where, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. You just go out there and do the best you can, for your own satisfaction.

I have a little company with my sister and best friend called, Bunnies By The Bay.  I design baby gift items and work with heavenly soft fabrics and materials all day.

In my spare time, I make jewelry. I have started an etsy site and wanted to do this blog to share my interests.

There is so much more....but another time.

talk to you soon.

This is where I live and work.  I was born here, started a business and raised three great kids in this sleepy little town.

This is my little beach house. It is also my studio. I overlook Similk Bay. This little house was brought by barge in the 1940's. It was in very sad shape when I found it eight years ago. All I saw was the view, I didn't even care that the house was really a tear down. With a very limited budge, a lot of elbow grease, and bargain hunting, I have made it my own.

This is the view I wake up to.  It doesn't always rain in Washington. We have many beautiful days like this.

This is my youngest daughter, Brenan. She is graduating from Western Washington University on Dec.13Th.  She has a degree in recreation.  Her internship this summer was kayaking Thu the San Juans, with adventure assoc.  Anyone need a guide?

When the sun starts to set and the night air gets chilly, we build a fire and watch the tide make its way back to shore.

I went back to the beginning of your blog Krys. Yes, you are right, when you turn 50 it doesn't matter what others think so much anymore, and now we aren't afraid to try anything. Like, what's to loose? No turning back, I only see what's ahead =))
Love your little house!
