Hutch Studio

I had to look for some pictures yesterday
for a Bunny project I am working on. Unfortunately
they were not on my computer so I had to look at
one of my external hard drives.  And looking among the
thousands of pictures I have I found these.
This is a cardboard boat Chris made to hold
some soft nautical bunnies I made.

This is "the book"  of whirligigs Chris has made.

Handmade plush by us.

Old and new together.

I made these as a table decoration for a lunch we hosted.

Chris made these chairs for our bunny room.
Recycled cardboard.

This light turns from the heat of the bulb.

Idea for a pull-toy for the baby line.

Picture frame from cardboard.  Bunny art, "distressed."

Our new bunny room.  Furniture is cardboard.

Spring window paper cut outs

And here he is...
Chris Theiss, artist extraordinaire.

Check it out here.

Hutch refresher

We have some visitors coming
from out of town.  So a little refresher
for Hutch.
I like them...who knows where they came from.  Someone was hard on shovels.

For some reason we had all these broken garden rakes and shovels in the shed.
I thought they added a nice touch to our hanging plant jars on the front porch.

Petite roses tied with twine to a wooden, I don't know what....I found in our back shed.

Big... Big bunny with bow.

A big duck holding a tall flower.

Pom Pom bunny pillows.  A little pink on their checks for the finishing touch.

There are 10 of these windows I painted little scenes in each.  White acrylic paint.
You take it off with a razor blade.

Paper flowers I had made and hung from the windows.  Now hang from a painted
lamp shade.

Some small bunnies on a little pink and white shelf.  These take as much time to
make as a large bunny....but so sweet when they are tiny.

Cardboard mobile

Chris made this...
Birds, bunnies and carrots.
It hangs in our bunny room
at Hutch.

We have a new store.

It's seems like that is all I ever say.
But there is a lot going on.
And it's summer...our good weather
has finally arrived.  So I have added
exercise to my already busy schedule.
Blogging has taken a back seat.
I'd rather be outside!

BIG NEWS
We have a new Bunnies By The Bay Store
I was busy last week opening a new store.
We now have a bunny store in downtown
 Laconner on Front street.

We set up and opened in 2 days.  Little tweeks still needed, but yep we did it.
Come by for a visit.
We still have Hutch Studio up on Morris.
New classes....check us out on facebook.

Hutch coolness

We have been busy here at bunnies getting
ready for the Atlanta and New York gift shows.
We will be showing a little line from Hutch Studio
I designed the product and Chris designed the displays.

This cardboard boat is sitting on a cardboard table and will
hold the bunny and other friends like the one in the previous post.

This is a cardboard frame.

Pretty cool.

Stealing

You read about this stuff, but when it happens to
you or a friend it sucks.  My co-worker Chris
is the most talented person I know.  He can create
anything.  He is by trade a Ceramic Artist.  Well,
a few years ago we started using cardboard as a
medium.  He came up with a costume for halloween
called Cardboard Man.  He and his wife are also
great photographers, and they took these pictures.
You can go to his website and see more.
And also to Hutch Studio to see his handiwork.

Well an Italian Company is using his image as
the header of their catalog which is posted on the web.

What do you do? Any suggestions on how to
proceed?  It would have been great if they would have
asked.  Even a photo or creative credit would
have been good advertising for his talents, but to steal
that is just wrong.

Working my fanny off

I have spent the last two days at Hutch.

Balancing act

It has been a busy week, hence the...No Post.
Also waiting for inspiration.
I found it. here http://maddieonthings.com/
First found here.http://www.swiss-miss.com/

You know the old found on blog, look for original source
kind of thing.  Anyway  this led me to Maddie the hound dog.

My life has been a balancing act of late
Lots going on....but it is winding down.

We are filming Hutch Studio today.
I am excited about that.
But also I just really like her.
She is genuine, enthusiastic
and appreciative.  It is going to be
a fun day.

Between work, family, art,
cooking, and taking care of yourself
it all seems a little to much sometimes.
I am learning to let go.  Not trying to
be perfect in everything and work myself
into a frenzy.
How about you?
How do you balance it all?
